The Antique Ercoupe airplane depicted on these checks was built in Riverdale, Maryland, in 1946 and is still flying high. Four rotating images on these Ercoupe Personal Checks go through various phases of takeoff and landing at a small airport in Marland. These planes were built to be the "airplane for everyone" and thousands were made at the end of World War II. About one-third of the fleet, nearly 2000, are still flying today. They were also known as the Aircoupe, the Alon and the mooney M10.
