Make a Princess Throne
Make a lovely throne for your little girl's
princess birthday party (partyware and tips).

Start with an ordinary chair. For older/taller princesses, use a high-backed chair. (Borrow one if you don't have one.)
Make a slip cover from a sheet or some fabric. Just drape it over the chair.
Tie a long ribbon around the bottom of the back of the chair. If the back of the chair will show, gather the extra material nicely in back, and tie the ribbon in a pretty bow over it, behind the chair.

Write the birthday princess's name on the throne. Use a marker, fabric paint, or glitter glue. If you don't want to mark the chair cover permanently, write it on a piece of cloth and drape that over the chair.

Gather the material a bit at each of the front legs and attach a bow to each one. You can use a safety pin or a strong clip to hold the gather together. If you use a clip, you may want to attach it beneath the cover rather than on top.
Tips:
- For extra decorations, you could attach acrylic "jewels" or rhinestone jewelry. A rhinestone necklace could be draped over the top; a pair of rhinestone bracelets could be draped over the right and left sides of the top of the chair; pins or post earrings could be attached directly to the chair. Just be sure whatever you attach doesn't make the princess uncomfortable!
- If you have a pretty cushion or pillow that would look nice on the chair seat, you could add that.
