- Try our simply delicious party punch recipe.
- Serve drinks in plastic coconut cups.
- Add paper umbrellas to drinks for tropical flair, or use brightly colored straws.
Luau Party Ideas
- Luau music makes the party lively! If you don't already own any Hawaiian or luau music, you can order Luau CDs online.
- Greet each guest with a lei.
- Make your own party invitations. Use blue or green card stock, flattened bits of silk flowers and/or raffia, pictures from online or magazines, etc. Cut the paper to fit a standard envelope, or find envelopes the size you want before making the invitations. Print the inside/information side of the invitation using your computer and printer. If you aren't handy with a word processor or layout program, just do one by hand, filling in all the info, then scan and print the rest of the invitations or have them copied at a print shop. Depending on your design, you can get one (four-fold regular weight colored paper, two (single fold card stock) or four (postcard-style on card stock*) invitations from a page. Be sure to print a test copy before you run off a bunch! *For postcard-style invitations, print the backs, 4 to a page; decorate the other side, mail in an envelope.
- Use a little coconut tanning oil in potpourri for a tropical scent.

- Hula hoops are colorful, inexpensive fun.
